Kashmir: BJP leader’s van among two vehicles set ablaze by terrorists in Kulgam - India Today

Suspected terrorists set on fire two vehicles, one of which belonged to a local BJP leader, on early Friday morning in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.

The incident took place on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway at 3 am on Friday, sources said.

One of the vehicles (both vans) set ablaze belonged to local BJP leader Adil Ahmad Ganai, who was reportedly not present at his house at the time of the incident. The private vehicle of Ganai was parked outside the home.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police have said they are investigating the matter.

This comes days after a terror attack in Kulgam district that left five labourers from West Bengal dead, which disrupted normal life across the Valley.

Five migrant labourers were shot dead by terrorists on Tuesday night. Another labourer succumbed to his injuries at a hospital, taking the toll to six.

The attack was followed by clashes at several places in Kashmir on, leaving several persons injured.
