Male Vs Wild: Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth visited Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Karnataka to shoot an episode of the popular Discovery Channel program “Man vs Wild” with host Bear Grylls.
“We allowed the Discovery Channel to take pictures for 6-8 hours at Bandipur Tiger Reserve,” said IANS director T. Balachandra, reservation director and forest conservator.

The one-day shooting said he started Tuesday at 11:00 and ended at 16:00.
“They paid according to standards. They have to pay a documentary fee, a car fee and more per day. Four days they paid R 10 lakh, ”Balachandra said.
Balachandra said that Rajinikanth spent five hours in the forest and would not return because his shooting was only one day.
The 874 km2 National Park of Tigers was created by integrating most of the forest areas of the former Venugopala Nature Park, established in 1941 and later extended to the present state of Chamarajanagar, about 220 km southwest of Bengaluru.
The tiger stock includes, among other things, 28 mammalian species, including the Royal Bengal Tiger, Asian Elephant, Common Leopard, Macaque Carp, Indian Pipistrelle and Deer.
Meanwhile, state wildlife leader Sanjay Mohan said it wasn’t the first time the Discovery Channel was shot in reserve.
“There were a lot of documents shot in Bandipura. I urged the Discovery Channel, which has to demonstrate the efforts of the day-to-night effort of the Karnataka Forestry Department to save wildlife, ”Mohan told IANS.
Wilderness leaders are looking forward to the reputation of the Tiger Reserve and the recognition of forest staff with this program.
