As part of the state government’s initiative, the second edition of the “Back to Village” (B2V2) programme was launched today in 106 panchayats across the district.

Officials reached the allocated panchayats where the PRIs and local people extended a warm welcome to them and also interacted with the PRIs and prominent citizens.

The PRIs and locals projected several demands and highlighted problems which included immediate augmentation of the power supply and water shortage, medicare facilities, road connectivity, especially internal roads, inclusion of left-out beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat, school upgradation, clearing of pending payments under the MGNREGA etc.

The Jeevika project has also been conceptualised by the district administration for the uplift of farmers by way of water conservation, water harvesting and effective use of water.
