India China relations have to be viewed from the background and a complex geo-political history. India has been on a receiving end of well orchestrated and incessant border incursions waged by a bullying neighbor. India’s relationship with its half brother Pakistan being sore and bitter since partition of 1947. After USA let lose its warm and cozy arms it had around Pakistan, China has been counseling the Islamist country notwithstanding its tightening noose around its Muslim Uyghur of Xi Yang.
The repeal of Article 370 and the reorganization of the erstwhile state of J&K, the nagging by Pakistan and compounded by its own situations, China in a desperate move intruded into eastern Ladakh in areas called Galwan Valley and Pangong Tso lake. This added further complexity to the situation unexpectedly and India found itself on the back foot. The situation LAC is anything but dynamic.
Before Tibet was annexed by Peoples Republic of China (PRC), the trade route for Pack-Animals existed. From Srinagar a route ran to Leh and then to Southern Tibet to Shigatse and Lhasa. From Lhasa a much used route goes to Chengdu. There was no sign of any modern road or major bridge across Tibet. All of this changed drastically after Peoples Republic of China (PRC) occupied Tibet. The independent India had a new neighbor, the PRC and with this new development the tranquility across the Himalayas was hijacked by an authoritarian party state.
Ever since, the number of exercises and overall military activities in the Lanzhou and Chengdu military regions in Tibet have been noteworthy.
On January 5th 2020, Global Times, the mouth piece of CPC/PLA reported that PLA military command has deployed Helicopters, Armored vehicles, heavy Artillery and Ant-Aircraft Missiles across the region.
Our clueless Military brass was caught napping?

General Bipan Rawat after superseding many Lt. Generals became the chief of the army staff. General Bipan Rawat used to talk too much. Indian Army under his command committed a ‘surgical strike’ inside POK. Reports also suggest he tried to bomb militant camps. He made a loud mouth’s statement that Indian armed forces can simultaneously fight unarmed against Pakistan and China. This alarmed China. Next happened viz-a-viz state of J&K was the revocation of the article 370. While making a statement by home minister Sh. Amit Shah, he posted that India will reoccupy the Aksi Chin, the area under the occupation of the China and the area of Jammu and Kashmir under the occupation of Pakistan. In other words he was referring to Giligit, Baltistan and other parts of POK. This alarmed China in other words known as Dragon.
The dragon awake spewed fire on the cow country known as India. China made a military makeup and gradually occupied Galwan valley and reoccupied further part of Aksi chin. Initially the commanding officer and 3 more soldiers were martyred. When the commanding officer and his comrades were killed, the rest of his battalion pounced upon the Chinese and tried to reoccupy the Galwan valley. There was a big fight between Indian armed forces and Chinese. 20 of the Indian soldiers were killed and unknown number of Chinese soldiers were also killed. The Chinese armed forces had made a military build-up near Uttrakhand and Arunachal Pardesh.
The recent news in Indian Media is that there is a Big military build-up in Tibet Area under the occupation of Peoples Republic of China.
